When the Law “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine re reducing the number of documents for obtaining childbirth welfare payments” is adopted, the parents will obtain childbirth welfare payments according to the place of a child’s birth and not according to the parent’s registration place as it is now.
This was announced by the author of the bill, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ihor Kalyetnik.
“Very often people work and live not at the place of their registration. This tendency is particularly characteristic of big cities. Adoption of this law will simplify the current procedure, parents will not have to go to their place of registration to execute documents for receiving “children’s money”,” the author of the law explained.
“The Parliament voted for this bill. This is an example of the fact that the Verkhovna Rada can vote jointly for decisions that are useful for our citizens and that simplify lives of Ukrainians,” said Ihor Kalyetnik. He also added that “the law comes into force in 3 month from the date of its publication, we have stipulated this period for the Government to adopt all the necessary laws and regulations; and for the Ministry of Social Policy to regulate actions of its local staff,” he said.
“We will control what regulatory acts will the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and, particularly the Ministry of Social Policy, elaborate for implementing this law in order to simplify the current procedure of obtaining childbirth welfare payments,” stressed Ihor Kalyetnik.
On Thursday, October 9, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the draft law No. 2313 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine re reducing the number of documents for obtaining childbirth welfare payments” with consideration of proposals of the President. 243 people’s deputies voted for this decision.
